Hood Company
During his schooldays Ben Mathis came across tags and spray-can graffiti for the first time. His first large facade painting and his first project in the Kiefern-Street he realized in 1997. He takes part on many exhibitions all over the world. In his work you can detect various influences: beyond the subcultural graffiti expressions he uses the techniques of classical art. They are all mixed up in his large murals, paintings and sculptures. Ben Mathis lives and works in Düsseldorf.
The works of the streetartist and grphic-designer Jerome Pflüger show not only the influence of graffiti and graphic, but also the one of Popart. Beyond his works on canvases and paper he produces experimental short movies (Some Arab, Beef, Outback, Brotherheart,...), which succeed on many short movie festivals.
