Vernissage HIT YOUR HOOD

September 24, 2007

While outside on the Brunnenstreet the „Rheinbahn“(german railway company) teared  the asphalt of the street apart and laid open the railway of the trolley-car, Ben Mathis, Jerome Pflüger and Andreas Kopp opened their exhibition „Hit your Hood“.

The Hoodcompaneros  had developed small starterpacks for streetartists especially for this Vernissage. The so-called Hitpack included a mask, a  glove, as well as a large caliber marker.

The happening was a big success. Ben Mathis could not only dispose all of his Hitpacks to woman and man. He also convinced all the buyers to try out the Hitpack and after that he enticed them in front of the camera of Robin Brückmann. You can find Robin's Portrait-pictures of the newly-made
streetartists  here.

The visitors saw sculptures and canvas art  by Ben Mathis, canvas art by Jerome Pflüger and canvas art and Graffiti Food (Mortadella and Cheese Stencils) by Andreas Kopp at the exhibition.

The exhibition can be visited until  2nd  September 2007, Monday till Friday from 3 to 6 pm.

You can find pictures of the exhibition here.

"Rheinbahn" hits the hood

September 14, 2007

Directly in front of our frontdoor the "Rheinbahn" (a German railway company)
dabbles in its own Streetart and therefore tears all Railways out of the ground.  The martial impressions are accompanied with an infernal jackhammer- soundperformance, which turned our stay at the gallery in the last few days into a very special experience.

Against the destroyed ground in front of our gallery we subtended the "Mutterboden"(transl.:topsoil). The at the "Open Source Festival" created work by Ben Mathis can be viewed until Thursday at the Pretty Portal.

"Mutterboden" is also a small foretaste to the exhibition "Hit your Hood" by the Hoodcompaneros Andy Kopp, Ben Mathis and Jerome Pflügler, which will be opened next Friday at 7 pm. The visitor can expect next to the exhibits some delicious Graffiti-Fingerfood, DJ Freaky Flow and a Photo action, in which the visitors can immortalize themselves as Street-Vandals.
